{"id":10408,"date":"2026-04-09T04:36:40","date_gmt":"2026-04-09T04:36:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wildgreenquest.com\/?p=10408"},"modified":"2026-04-09T04:36:40","modified_gmt":"2026-04-09T04:36:40","slug":"fast-food-franchisee-chapter-11-bankruptcy-will-restaurants-close","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wildgreenquest.com\/?p=10408","title":{"rendered":"Fast-food franchisee Chapter 11 bankruptcy: Will restaurants close?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<br \/><\/p>\n<div data-testid=\"content-chunk\">\n<p>It\u2019s a tough time to own fast-food restaurants.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-testid=\"content-chunk\">\n<p>Franchisees for popular chains such as Applebee\u2019s, Subway, and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen have filed for bankruptcy recently, and another has joined them. <\/p>\n<p>Multiple entities associated with Friendly Franchisees Corporation (FFC), owner of 65 Carl\u2019s Jr. locations across California, have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.restaurantbusinessonline.com\/financing\/big-carls-jr-franchisee-has-filed-bankruptcy\"><em>Restaurant Business<\/em><\/a> first reported.<\/p>\n<p>Carl\u2019s Jr. was founded almost 85 years ago and is known for its charbroiled burgers. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-testid=\"content-chunk\">\n<p>FFC has yet to state whether any Carl\u2019s Jr. locations will close as a result of the bankruptcies.
