Bonfim took the unanimous-decision victory 50-45 on all three judges’ scorecards and will likely snatch Muhammad’s No. 5 ranking later this week.<\/p>\n Bonfim’s size, speed and technical striking proved too much for Muhammad. The former champion did not push his wrestling as he did earlier in his career, and he chose to back up in an attempt to utilize his improved but still inferior striking. <\/p>\n That approach didn’t pay off for Muhammad as he was beaten up and soundly defeated by the welterweight division’s next real title contender.<\/p>\n All three judges turned in identical 50-45 cards, a clean sweep that captured how one-sided the night was. Bonfim’s calf kicks were a recurring weapon, repeatedly forcing Muhammad to switch stances, while his pressure kept the former champion from leaning on the grappling that defined his title run. <\/p>\n It is Muhammad’s third consecutive loss, following his title defeat to Jack Della Maddalena and a decision loss to Ian Machado Garry, and it pushes Bonfim into the thick of the welterweight contender picture.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n In the co-main event, Brendan Allen outlasted Edmen Shahbazyan in a scrap that won Fight of the Night honors. Allen is traditionally known for his grappling, but won this one almost exclusively on the feet. He was tougher, more aggressive and accurate with his striking and he won it convincingly. <\/p>\n Bryce Mitchell scored a buzzer-beating submission win over Santiago Luna with an expertly executed arm triangle in the final seconds of the third round. Also, Iwo Baraniewski blasted Junior Tafa out in the first round with destructive leg kicks.<\/p>\n The finish of the night came from Ketlen Souza. Her right hand and follow-up head-kick finish of Ariane Carnelossi was easily the nastiest finish of the event and one of the more memorable finishes in 2026. <\/p>\n She deserved a Performance of the Night bonus, but had to settle for the $25K bonus awarded to any fighter who wins by a finish. \u00c9dgar Ch\u00e1irez got the other bonus with his clean and highly skilled finish of Bruno Silva.<\/p>\n Here’s a breakdown of all of the bonus winners from Saturday’s event.<\/p>\n It was the kind of finish-heavy results card that crowds the bonus race and rewards fighters who refuse to leave it to the judges.
