These agents will improve employee productivity and \u201creduce their work day by an hour to start,\u201d Cuban predicted.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He added that employees will work less while earning the same pay. \u201cReward people doing the daily with more time,\u201d Cuban wrote in the post. A <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/workday-study-looks-at-time-spent-fixing-ai-errors-2026-1\">January survey<\/a> from HR management platform <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.workday.com\/en-us\/homepage.html\">Workday<\/a> found that close to 40% of AI\u2019s value is lost because workers have to constantly check it for inaccuracies and hallucinations. Only 14% of workers consistently get clear, error-free output from the technology.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-other-executives-agree\">Other executives agree<\/h2>\n<p>Cuban isn\u2019t the only tech leader to tout AI\u2019s ability to shorten the workday. Zoom CEO Eric Yuan <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/zoom-ceo-eric-yuan-ai-digital-twins-2024-6\">said in 2024<\/a> that AI clones, or digital twins that are capable of speaking and interacting with people, can attend meetings on a user\u2019s behalf, take calls, answer emails and even negotiate contracts. If these AI agents can handle repetitive tasks, many knowledge workers could move to a three- or four-day workweek, Yuan surmised.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon suggested in November that the next generation \u201cwill probably be working <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/jamie-dimon-predicts-ai-shorten-204632005.html\">three and a half days a week<\/a> in 20, 30, 40 years.\u201d He argued that AI will both cut tedious tasks and kill some jobs, but ultimately improve quality of life and health outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>Tesla CEO Elon Musk took it one step further and <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/fortune.com\/2025\/12\/01\/forget-the-four-day-workweek-elon-musk-predicts-you-wont-have-to-work-at-all-in-less-than-20-years-billionaire-success-wealth\/\">predicted<\/a> in November that work would become entirely \u201coptional\u201d in \u201cless than 20 years\u201d thanks to advanced technology, such as AI and robotics. Musk, the richest person in the world, also said at a forum that AI would make money \u201cirrelevant.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ai-allows-anyone-to-innovate\">AI allows anyone to innovate<\/h2>\n<p>Cuban <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/mark-cuban-ai-lets-any-kid-build-something-world-changing-2026-2\">said in an interview<\/a> with Eric Bricker, chief medical officer of Compass Professional Health Services, last month that AI has fundamentally transformed who gets to innovate. Now, \u201csome kid in a basement\u201d can build a product or service that shakes up an industry, he explained.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll it takes is one good idea,\u201d Cuban said in the interview. \u201cWhy not you?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Cuban added that AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini have opened the door to innovation. A few years ago, a curious student without great teachers or materials might have hit a wall trying to dive into a subject.
