Looking for help uncovering words in today’s NYT Strands puzzle? Look no further! Below, you’ll find some extra clues and other help to get you started in your quest.

After a somewhat chilly last week of May, June has kicked off with very warm and lovely weather. Perfect climes for picnics, bike rides, long walks along the beach and, of course, uncovering words. Let’s solve today’s Strands!

Looking for Monday’s Strands? Check out our guide right here.

    How To Play Strands

Strands is the newest game in the New York Times’ stable of puzzle games. It’s a fun twist on classic word search games. Every day we’re given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board. One of these words is the spangram which crosses from one side of the grid to another and reveals even more about the day’s theme.

    Spoilers ahead.

    Today’s Strands Hints

Read on for today’s theme and some hints to help you uncover today’s words.

Today’s Theme: Caught in the Net

Hint: Not like a fish, more like an avid Twitter or Bluesky user, or Tumblr or Instagram, Reddit, etc. and the terms they might use.

The first two letters of each word:

    Remember, spoilers ahead!

    What Are Today’s Strands Answers?

    Today’s spangram is: EXTREMELY ONLINE

Here’s the full list of words:

    • COMMENT
    • FEED
    • REEL
    • MEME
    • TREND
    • STORY

    Today’s Strands Breakdown

I found EXTREME first. Then EXTREMELY. Then EXTREMES. None of these were words on the grid! I knew it wasn’t dumb luck or coincidence, but I didn’t come up with the spangram — EXTREMELY ONLINE — until I’d found COMMENT and STORY and FEED. Then it was easy pickings. REEL, MEME, TREND. These are all too familiar terms for one such as me, alas.

How’d you do on your Strands today? Let me know on Twitter and Facebook.
