‘The Duskbloods’ Looks Really Impressive And Gets A Closed Network Test This Summer

‘The Duskbloods’ is looking really good on Switch 2.

    FromSoftware, Nintendo

The upcoming FromSoftware Switch 2 game, The Duskbloods, received a new trailer and revealed that the game will get a closed network test this Summer.

The closed network test is definitely good news, as the Soulsborne games all have a very specific kind of online multiplayer.

While those games work great on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, the Switch online architecture is rather specific. So having this setup stress tested before launch is a very good thing.

The game itself also looks so much better than it did from some of the earlier trailers, and it goes to show that a lot of what makes a game come together is the final push for polish and optimization before the game is released.

Talking of release dates, while we still don’t have anything specific as yet, the game is meant to be out this year.

A dedicated Soulsborne game for the Switch 2 is definitely something that the console needs, and this game also sounds quite ambitious with 8-player multiplayer.

The game has you play as the Bloodsworn, vampire-like characters with unique abilities and weaponry, including firearms, which does make me think of Bloodborne.

Something that the gothic setting and architecture (shown above) only cements further.

Either way, we’ll know more about how the game plays this Summer, that is, if I can get on the closed network test.
