With the right perspective, and the right vehicle, you can find Adventure Everywhere

    Published June 16, 2026 11:52AM

Coffee, tech, seafaring culture, and fast access to some of the most dramatic landscapes in the Pacific Northwest. There’s no place quite like Seattle.

Adventure Everywhere with a vehicle that elevates every drive, whether you’re grabbing lunch on Puget Sound or traveling to a national park.

Meet the capable and versatile 2027 Telluride X-Pro and Telluride Turbo-Hybrid.

    Mount Si

Mount Si is the classic hike near Seattle. This eight-mile out-and-back passes through old-growth forest before climbing 3,100 feet up the side of the peak, delivering views from multiple spots along the trail. Make it to the overlook near the summit, and you can see Seattle and the Olympic Mountains in the distance. After the hike, drop into North Bend, a former logging town that’s been reborn as an adventure hub. Grab an IPA at Volition Brewing or a coffee at Huxdotter Coffee.

    Twin Falls Trail

Just off I-90, inside Olallie State Park, this two-mile hike delivers a massive payout for a minor buy-in. Twin Falls Trail climbs along the Snoqualmie River on its way to one of the tallest waterfalls in the region, a multitier cascade that drops more than 200 feet inside a granite gorge. Shallow pools and rocky beaches highlight the first leg of the hike, enticing many to stop for a cool soak.

    Golden Gardens Park

There are some impressive hiking trails at Golden Gardens Park, but the real draw is the beach, a sandy stretch on Puget Sound with views of the Olympic Mountains. It’s a beautiful place for a picnic, or bring your pup to play in the off-leash dog park. Keep the fun coming with Oyster Happy Hour on the patio at The Walrus and the Carpenter.

    The Bouldering Project

Seattle is home to many mountaineers, and they often train at the Bouldering Project. There are three locations throughout Seattle, each emphasizing circuits over difficulty grades, with color-wheel guides that inspire you to experiment with movement and style.

    Seward Park

Seward Park might have the prettiest trail runs in all of Seattle. This 300-acre park preserves an old-growth forest and beach on the Bailey Peninsula, which juts into Lake Washington. Lace up and run the 2.4-mile paved path that hugs the shoreline and offers views of Seattle’s skyline, or head into the park’s interior on the wooded trails.

    Winthrop, Washington

The Wild West meets outdoor adventure in Winthrop, a tiny town of just 500 in the Methow Valley that serves as the base camp for exploring the Methow Trails, the largest concentration of cross-country ski trails in the country. In summer, those routes transition to running, mountain biking, and hiking trails. Work up an appetite, then head back to Winthrop, where you can belly up at Three Fingered Jack’s Saloon, the oldest bar in the state, and grab tapas at Meza.

    Snoqualmie Pass

Tucked into the Cascade Mountains, 50 miles east of Seattle, Snoqualmie Pass is a hotbed of skiing in winter and mountain biking in summer. The Summit at Snoqualmie has 1,994 acres of skiing divided into three summits—one for beginners, one for cross-country skiers, and one for everyone. Oh, and the average snowfall is more than 450 inches a year.

    Hoh Rain Forest

This lush forest within Olympic National Park gets more than 140 inches of rain every year, resulting in a canopy of hardwoods and evergreens, while the understory is thick with moss and ferns. It’s the best example of a temperate rainforest in the United States. The aptly named Hall of Mosses Trail forms a sub-mile loop through the heart of the forest.

    Mount Rainier National Park

Mount Rainier stands out. Rising 14,410 feet above sea level, the active volcano is an iconic symbol of Washington’s rugged terrain. It’s also the most glaciated peak in the lower 48—a winter wonderland even in summer—but the lower elevations are packed with dense forests and wildflower-laden meadows, and it’s all protected by Mount Rainier National Park. You can see Rainier from your car at various points in the park, but to truly appreciate it, you need to hike a slice of the 93-mile Wonderland Trail, which encircles the volcano.
