This do-it-all SUV of an e-bike goes wherever you want to pedal, with whatever load you want to take there

Over the past decade or so, e-bikes have evolved in welcome ways, with specialist models designed for tackling mountainous trails, touring long distances, and hauling cargo across town. But there was still something missing: a single bike that could do all three. Enter the new Amflow TL Carbon: a two-wheeled e-SUV that rolls all of these capabilities into one super-versatile package.
Amflow is a pioneer of technical innovation, and it shows in the design and features that enable this e-bike’s all-purpose performance. For example, the TL Carbon employs a full Fox suspension with 120 millimeters of front travel and 105 millimeters of rear travel, which opens up rides on gravel and trail. However, the bike’s full-carbon frame weighs only 2.9 kilograms, so it remains spritely in urban settings and is easy to load onto a bike rack. You can also switch the bike’s wheels from 27.5-inch to 29-inch, depending on what terrain the day calls for.

When it comes to cargo, the TL Carbon is a true SUV, with a carrying capacity that makes it perfect for everything from schlepping groceries or kids to storing gear for long-distance tours. Amflow built the bike with a modular mounting design that allows you to add panniers and even a bike trailer to the rear rack. An optional front rack can help shoulder the load as well. All told, the bike can carry around 200 kilograms, making it an excellent choice for both bikepacking and kid pickups (just add on a compatible child’s seat).

Range and power are also key to the TL Carbon’s versatility. It has a standard range of 172 kilometers, courtesy of an 800Wh removable battery that you can augment with an optional 480Wh range extender. Those provide the juice for its Avinox M2 motor, which puts out 125 Nm of torque and 1,100W of peak power—if you opt for mostly machine-assisted travel to give your legs a rest, the TL Carbon provides a powerful ride.
As you’d expect for a bike with this pedigree, the TL Carbon has a robust tech set as well. Its SmoothShift Electronic Shifting system offers an intuitive and controlled shifting method that doesn’t require the rider to pedal. Plus, the Avinox Ride app offers a ton of connectivity: You can cue up offline navigation, integrate it into Apple’s Find My tracking ecosystem, and even pair it with a Bluetooth heart rate monitor to help determine how much pedal assist you require.

The TL Carbon is truly an e-bike for everyone—or, more accurately, for someone who does everything. The only challenge will be choosing which adventure to tackle next.
