The snow was lackluster. The end-of-season sales are not.

If we had to sum up this year’s ski season in a single word, “grim” comes to mind. Across the Rockies and beyond, many of our favorite mountains were haunted by unseasonably warm spikes and stubborn weather patterns that shut out snow for weeks on end. Instead of the waist-deep powder that justifies burning a sick day, we were left navigating heavy, sun-baked slush and dodging exposed rocks on thin-cover runs. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.

While we pray to the gods of the Farmer’s Almanac for a more favorable 2026/2027 meteorological outlook, there’s one thing giving us comfort: end-of-season ski sales. Starting in March, top retailers and brands begin clearing their inventory, giving you the chance to snag those 2026 all-mountain skis you’ve been salivating over at a bargain price. The easiest way to find the best discounts spring has to offer? The Outside Online Deals Finder.

Your Shortcut to the Best Ski Sales

Head to the Deals Finder by clicking the “Deals” tab in the top navigation menu. From there, you can dial in your search:

    • Specific Searching: If you have a particular brand or model in mind, use the search bar. Whether it’s “Nordica Enforcer,” “Salomon S/Pro,” or “Arc’teryx jackets,” the Deals Finder will show you exactly who has your size in stock for the best price.

    • Gear Up the Whole Family: Outfitting kids for the mountain can be a financial hurdle, especially when they outgrow their ski boots or parkas in a single season. Search for “kids [gear]” to find durable, high-performance gear that won’t break the bank. Here’s what you may see when you search “kids skis,” for example:

    • Window Shopping: Not sure which pair of planks you need yet? Search “skis” and sort by “Biggest Discount” to surface the most aggressive markdowns. This is the best way to find high-end shells, insulated bibs, and last-season skis—traditionally expensive items that are currently on major sale.
    • Snag the Big-Ticket Items—Before They’re Gone: When a pair of top-rated skis go on sale, they don’t stay in stock for long. The Deals Finder is your shortcut to snagging wish-list items before they sell out.
